Pastor Dan has a passion for shepherding God’s people and teaching God’s word. As our Senior Pastor, Dan leads University Bible Church in making disciples who are Gospel-Centered, Bible-Focused and Christ-Exalting.

BIO
Dan grew up in Salmon, Idaho, a small community in central Idaho. Up until high school, Dan had never stepped into a church or opened a Bible. He had a general sense that there must be a purpose behind the world, but he had no answers to the questions in his heart. When he was 16, a friend on the basketball team shared the gospel with him. He learned that God exists and made a way for us to know Him through Jesus. Dan came to faith in Christ that fall and started attending University Bible Church three years later when he came to Pocatello to attend Idaho State University.
Dan graduated from ISU with a degree in secondary education. After teaching high school for two years, he joined staff at UBC as an intern and completed an M.Div. from Western Seminary in Portland, Oregon. He has served as the senior pastor since his predecessor retired in 2017.
Dan and his wife, Sarah, met at ISU and have been married since 2002. They have three girls and a boy who bring great joy to their lives.
Dan’s hobbies include rafting and canoeing on Idaho rivers, camping, basketball, and reading.
